Don't miss this incredible opportunity to experience an ancient way of life that is rapidly disappearing from the world today.
Wake up early in the morning and depart from Arusha with a lunch box-packed drive to the hadzabe trip where we start a cultural tour with the locals. The Hadza, or Hadzabe, are an indigenous ethnic in north-central Tanzania, living around Lake Eyasi in the central Rift Valley and in the neighboring Serengeti Plateau. The Hadza number just under 1,000. Some 300–400 Hadza live as part-time hunter-gatherers, although the increasing impact of tourism and encroaching pastoralists poses serious threats to the continuation of their traditional way of life.
The Hadza are not closely genetically related to any other people. While traditionally classified with the Khoisan languages, primarily because it has clicks, the Hadza language appears to be an isolate, unrelated to any other. As descendants of Tanzania’s aboriginal hunter-gatherer population, they have probably occupied their current territory for thousands of years, with relatively little modification to their basic way of life until the past hundred years. After spending time and experiencing their culture then drive to mantara where we will see the datonge trip and have a cultural tour with them also Depending on the time we will probably visit late Eyasi and have a waterfalls hike around the area before driving back to Arusha.
